THE BUILDING

The house

The B&B “A casa dell’Antiquario” welcomes its guests to a completely renovated, elegant Art Nouveau house in the heart of the historic center of San Benedetto Po, just few steps from the important Benedictine monastery founded in 1007 by Tedaldo di Canossa and near the magnificent church rebuilt by Giulio Romano in the mid-sixteenth century.
THE FURNITURE

The furniture

The interior decoration has been supervised directly by the antiques gallery owned by the same Zanini family and it is the result of careful historical and artistic research, followed with expertise for generations. The valuable antiques and accessories have been put together with the modern elements of the structure with taste and a fine sense of harmony.
BREAKFAST ROOM

The common rooms

The elegant breakfast room is used in winter to serve a buffet meal, while in summer it is enjoyed in the garden cloister that creates a relaxing atmosphere and makes an ideal start to the day. On the ground floor, next to the tasteful entrance, there’s a reading room furnished with an antique bookcase where art manuals and other interesting material are available for you to read.

“Camera del cardinale” (the Cardinal’s chamber), double room, RED;
“Camera de l’artista” (the artist’s chamber), twin or double room, GREEN;
“Camera de l’imperatore” (the Emperor’s chamber), junior suite with one extra bed, BLUE;
“Camera de l’abate” (the abbot’s chamber), junior suite with one extra bed, YELLOW.
THE COMFORTS

The comforts

All the rooms have en suite bathrooms with hairdryer, towels, wipes and high-quality products for personal hygiene. Each room is provided with TV, air conditioning, wi-fi Internet access and a safe.
